AWARD RESEARCH REPORT IN BRIEF
THE AWARD TECHNICAL COMMITTEE
For the purpose of the Award, the organizers have put in place a team of Brand Experts. Researchers and journalists to determine which Brands, Individuals and companies that deserve the Awards.
THE AWARD TECHNICAL COMMITTEE’S REPORT
The committee took an annual survey to determine which Brands appeal most to African Consumers. A total of 25,000 questionnaires were randomly circulated. To obtain diverse ethnic representation across sections of respondents, questions were interpreted in different languages. Participants were asked to name the best brands for several categories of Products, companies and daily necessities. The survey truly reflects outstanding Brands Performance for all Brands nominated. The research takes into account both quantitative and qualitative criteria. The five qualitative criteria were quality, value, trustworthiness, strong image and understanding consumer needs.
SCOPE OF THE RESEARCH
Brands consumer survey that reflects outstanding Brands Performance for Award was conducted between June to March, 2018. Several categories of products and services were the focus of this Award.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
The research methodology consists of a quantitative technique where data was collected through face-to-face personal interview, using a fully structured questionnaire held at stratified multi-stage random sampling technique.

This year, Brands from indigenous and multi-national firms operating in Africa have been nominated for this Award.
